Canvas
The learning platform Canvas is a tool for lecturers and students. You will have access to the canvas page for courses you have been admitted to around 4 weeks before the start of the course. You log in with your student account.
Introduction and welcome letter
All our courses start with a mandatory introduction meeting. If you do not attend the meeting, you will lose your enrolment in the course.
Around 4 weeks before the start of your course, you will get a welcome letter from our study advisors.
Sometimes our emails bounce or end up among your junk mails. If you have not received a welcome letter before the start of your course or programme, please contact our study advisors Lotta Persmark (biology and bioinformatics), Christina Ledje or Therese Reber (molecular biology).
We arrange introduction activities in August for our master’s programme students. You find the schedule for these activities in the learning platform Canvas.
Registration for courses
You can not register for the courses yourself. We will register all student's that attend the compulsory introduction meeting the first day of the course.

Are you on the waiting list for a course or programme? Please contact our study advisors if you have any questions about your chances of getting a place.
Schedules and course literature
You will find information about literature in the learning platform Canvas and also on our web page under each course.
You will find information about the schedule for a course in the learning platform Canvas and also in the Schedule generator (TimeEdit). Schedules are usually available 5 weeks before the start of a course (and sometimes earlier).
BUG, Biology students council
BUG is your local student council working with education and student activities at the department level. To be active in BUG is a good way of get involved as a student and there are many exciting things to work with. BUG is part of LUNA (see below). BUG has a Facebook-page and you can contact the BUG president directly through email: bug-ordf [at] luna [dot] lu [dot] se (bug-ordf[at]luna[dot]lu[dot]se).
LUNA, the Science Student Union
As a student at the Faculty of Science you belong to the Science Student Union LUNA. The main objective of the Science Student Union is to monitor and participate in the development of education and conditions for students at the Faculty of Science. Besides this, the student union also arrange recreation activities and create an interface between you and your future career.
